Frequently asked questions
Is muay thai good for weight loss?
It’s a genuinely high-calorie-burn activity thanks to the combination of striking, footwork, and conditioning drills — though results depend on frequency and diet as much as the sport itself.
How physically demanding is a typical class?
It varies by gym and coach, but expect a genuine cardio workout even at beginner level — pad rounds and conditioning drills are standard across most Malaysian muay thai gyms.
Is there an active competitive fight team?
Some gyms run competitive teams that enter local or regional fight cards, others stay purely fitness-focused. If competing interests you, it’s worth asking WIRA BOXING ACADEMY directly.
What are WIRA BOXING ACADEMY's opening hours?
Hours vary by day at WIRA BOXING ACADEMY — for example, Monday is listed as Closed. See the full opening-hours table above for the rest of the week, since it changes day to day.
How reliable is WIRA BOXING ACADEMY's Google rating?
